Kris Jenkins is the New York Jets' new defensive tackle. He was traded to the Jets in February 2008 from the Carolina Panthers.

The three-time pro-bowl pick spent the last seven seasons with the Panthers, who drafted him in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. 

Kris (6'5", 335 lb) is widely considered one of the best defensive players in today's NFL. He was integral in the Panthers' campaign to Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, and chosen for the Pro Bowl in 2002, 2003, 2006 

Kris, 28, hails from Ypsilanti, Michiagan, and played college football at the University of Maryland. While playing for Maryland, he was named to the second team All-ACC.

Kris has been with Perennial agent Tony Paige since the beginning of his career.
