Artists and Athletes Come Together for a Special Evening

 

January 16, 2009 – Perennial Sports and Entertainment Founder and CEO Lamell McMorris presents a check to NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony at the “Artists and Athletes for a Cause” event held at the House of Sweden in Georgetown. Perennial Sports and Entertainment made a contribution of $10,000.00 to the Carmelo Anthony Foundation and Ne-Yo’s Compound Foundation.

The Carmelo Anthony Foundation invests in programs, leaders and community organizations that empower and provide opportunities for underserved children and families in Carmelo’s home communities. The Compound Foundation aims to to increase awareness about the status of children in the child welfare system in America and to support and partner with residential care facilities through programs designed for teaching entrepreneurship and life skills that will empower them to become productive, successful, independent adults.
